- Mt Rainier - We made two trips to visit Mt Rainier National Park. The first time it was so foggy it was difficult to see to the front of the car. Three weeks later the clouds lifted and we had this experience.

- The world's largest Sitka Spruce blows down - the "Klootchy Creek Giant" is now Oregon's biggest stump.
