Old town Gdansk is mostly reconstructed after being 90% destroyed during WWII. The restored look and feel of the original is quite effective. Unfortunately our weather in Gdansk was mostly ugly, including a brief downpour. The single picture that includes a blue sky is quite an anomaly. The building with the tower is the town hall, the fountain is Neptune. The spiral staircase is in the tower of St. Mary's church, I believe.
