Joniskis is the first Lithuanian town we stopped at. While the rest of the group was converting cash at the bank, I wandered around the immediate neighborhood and found a nice collection of windows and a church to photograph.

While many in the group were concerned with converting the last remnants of cash at the border, we found a rather pleasant way to deal with the problem. The night before we'd find a grocery store and convert all our remaining cash into chocolate. We'd come away with enough chocolate to last a day or two. By then we'd be coming to another border and another cash conversion opportunity.

This worked really well for us, except we'd find some really spectacular chocolate that was no longer available because it was a local brand that was miles a miles behind us. Oh well...
