The top of Gediminas hill is an easy walk from downtown. Up there you'll find the remains of a 14th century castle with a museum in the tower. From the top of the tower, the views are endless. At the base of the hill a new bridge crosses the Neris, and people gather around the statue of Gediminas, Grand Duke of Lithuania and founder of Vilnius in 1323.
