A trip to the site of the Estonian choral music festival site is like a trip to Mecca. With a stage that easily accomodates 30,000 performers in front of an audience of 300,000, this is a venue to dream about. The festival is held every 5 years, and is over 100 years old. That's our tour guide, Mina, pointing out the centennial monument. Performers come from all over Estonia, with participants from Latvia and Lithuania as well. Notice in the pictures above, the semi tractor/trailer rig in front of the ampitheater is not a toy! It is a full sized rig. The view from the stage is equally impressive. You may notice the small group of (50 or so) people at the very top. They were able to hear every note of our brief performance. Those are amazing acoustics!
