Killarney

The weirdest story of the choir's entire touring history happend in Killarney. Our efforts to schedule a concert resulted in a strange disjointed collection of odd e-mail messages. We arrived only to find that our friends the, Cascade Singers from The Dalles, Oregon, were there setting up to sing a concert! It finally all came clear - there were two choirs from Oregon that contacted the cathedral music director about the same time. I'm sure he was totally confused, as the messages exchanged were somewhat disjointed and confusing to us. The funniest part was that the music director decided not to show up. I'm sure the story got back to him at some point. So, we shared the concert, but what a weird deal!

We didn't have a ton of free time in Killarney. Our concert got over late, we left early the next morning for a tour of the Ring of Kerry, arrived back late in the evening and departed for concerts in Adare and Bunratty early the next morning. We did wander the streets one evening, but I must have left my camera in the room.
