Peacock Feather
The peacock is typically a tropical bird. They have become popular
as farm pets in Southern Oregon, sometimes existing in a 'wild' state during
the summer.

Crater Lake National Park
High in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon stands the remains of one
of the most cataclysmic explosions of all time. All that remains is a 15 square
mile caldera filled nearly 2,000 feet deep with water. The water, pure rain
and snowmelt, is legally marketable as distilled water!

Playing in the Clouds
At over 12,000 feet along Trail Ridge in Rocky Mountain National
Park, two children play, oblivious of the grandeur of their surroundings.
Oh, to be six again, playing amongst the clouds!

Great Fountain Geyser -Yellowstone National Park,
Wyoming
Yellowstone National Park in Northwestern Wyoming contains more geysers
than all the rest of the world combined. The Great Fountain Geyser, in the
Midway Geyser Basin, is one of the largest, erupting to a height of up to
200 feet.

Cracks in the Mud - Badlands National Park, South Dakota
Layer upon layer, gentle pastel colors unfold as the
stark landscape of the 'bad land' marches on. Each drop of rain carries
away another molecule of the primordial silt that blankets the Great
Plains, exposing a staggering array of fossilized creatures.

Mosquito Larvae
Hanging by its tail from the surface of a pond, a 'wriggler' takes
a breath of air before descending back into the murky depths. |
