Fractal images generation and analysis is a facinating and relaxing persuit. I'm not going to get into a lecture on imaginary numbers, Mandelbrot sets or Julia images. Instead, I will refer you to the Spanky and the Stone Soup Group as a point of departure. This site is not a good tutorial or introduction to the subject, but until I find a better one... This is where I obtained WinFract v18.21, the program I used to generate these images.
I am currently cataloging and analysing "Baby Ben" images from three analagous regions of the main Mandelbrot set. Does this seem a little compulsive to you? So far the data is inconclusive but you're welcome to browse the catalog and draw your own conclusions!
