Ok, long story - Originally built in 1930 to span Horse Creek in Lane County. The bridge was bypassed by a concrete span in 1968, and removed in 1987. The bridge's timbers were given to the City of Cottage Grove for salvage. They built a small scale bridge in a city park. The remaining lumber was donated to Myrtle Creek in 1990. They built this bridge with what was left of the lumber. So now the Horse Creek Bridge spans Myrtle Creek. (excerpted from www.oregon.com/attractions/myrtle-creek-horse-creek-covered-bridge)
