The Helsinki train station is a busy place. One thing that is obviously different in Europe is the people's commitment to bicycle transportation. The unobservant American tourist is constantly being reminded by a continual ringing in his ears. STAY OUT OF THE BIKE LANE! Frequently a portion of the sidewalk is reserved for bicycles. Be alert or risk injury! (Or risk getting 'dinged' at, at the very least.)
